a moment of peace?

the myriad - polar bears and shark fins
tired

Phew, a moment to sit down and try and do some web things! I don't even know where to start to try and catch up, I've been so busy. This whole month I've just been out and about everywhere - and ooh the gas prices shocked

I've completely forgotten to mention that I was moving. I'm all settled in now besides some finishing touches and such. It's so much nicer here! It's a two bedroom and my friend will move in soon too. I like it.

So since I got everyone all excited for the pictures I suppose I can show them! They're sort of a disappointments though, most of them didn't come out well and most of the time I was walking and snapping pictures. Unfortunately my band photos also didn't come out too fantastic due to weird lighting at the shows and I don't have a fancy pants camera.

Strut Fashion Show; local fashion designers display their fashion
Eisley Show; Eisley, The Envy Corps, The Myriad, Verdera
The Presidents of the United States of America; oh em gee I've loved this band since I was a kid, I was super excited to see them

I've been having great times, but I haven't had a break from the spending to try and build back up my funds crying
We also did go to the beach. The weather was fantastic and the beach house we stayed in was lovely - it was our friends grandparents. I absolutely love being right on the beach, it's really relaxing. The island was also fairly small and not overpopulated - so the beach was literally OURS. There were washed up jellyfish everywhere though confused and I also got to go surfing! I only boogieboard, and have been wanting to surf for years, but didn't want to buy or rent a surf board.

This weekend is the little Animazement convention here in NC. I'm not super heavy into anime {I like a fair few series}, and I've never cosplayed, but I sometimes enjoy going. I like to stroll down artist alley, buy gadgets and music in the dealers room, and try to make some acquaintances with maybe some nice and normal people.

Bleh, I know this post is sort of unorganized - but also to continue with the traveling and spending of my precious moneys; next tuesday I am heading home {Pennsylvania} with Andrew for a week. There we are taking a train to NYC to see the Yoshida Brothers. We're very excited to see them, it's just been a whole month of awesome!

procrastination to the max!

Salyu - liberty
groggy

Ah, I know I promised Fashion Show pictures AND Eisley pictures! I've just been so busy plain Work has been busy, and I got sick this week, and I had to try and make up the hours I missed for work, and I'm planning for a trip to the beach tomorrow and it's just too much!
But at any rate, the fashion show was great! Dress rehearsal before the show went smooth, and then the whole show went smooth. The only set back was that I didn't really get to see much of the show at all. I took some quick shots during rehearsal and some during the actual show, but they're not fantastic professional photography or anything laugh out loud
There was an after party at a fancy sushi place and I got all quickly spiffed up and went to that - only everyone I knew left after 10 minutes! So that was sort of sad and then I just went home.
Better update with lots of pictures soon to come, I promise ~ again!

confused A GIANT bug just flew into my monitor! *keels it*

fashion madness!

odin sphere OST
anxious

Tomorrow is the big day for Strut 2008! It's been a busy week at work with finishing the outfits we have for the show. We had a small dress rehearsal today which was mostly just standing around and observing wink I'm a dresser in this show {for my first time}, and I feel good about it! I've attended shows before but never had to help out. We do have one girl that we have to get out of her dress and into a more elaborate and crazy awesome one with new hair and makeup within 6 minutes though shocked
We have two Corsets up for auction for the show, too!
It will also air on NC TV, and I'm sure some clips will go up on youtube. I will try to get some pictures and videos after our models are all done with their walk.
Speaking of models... working with them really makes me want to actually BE one... But I know it's just a ridiculous dream. Although, 70% of the models I have seen are not your standard tiny, tall, skeletal model. A lot of have curves and even not so nice legs! I'm not saying anything bad about them, I'm just saying that seeing them all not so perfect makes me have a silly little dream too...
Long day tomorrow! Starts at 2:30 for me and the show begins at 9pm, ends.... I dunno... 11pm?....I'm excited!

EDIT Oh yes and to let everyone know; I work as a seamstress for Meschantes Corset and Bridal Couture (pronounced without the 'tes'). My boss is an amazing seamstress and so creative and she's put together outfits to display in the show. It's fun and also helps promote the business wink
